Kenza Book of Art was born out of friendship, passion, and a shared love for celebrating life’s most meaningful moments. What started as a group of close friends helping family and friends with baby showers, engagement parties, and intimate gatherings quickly grew into something more. We were constantly told, “You guys should start your own decor company!” and eventually, we did.
Founded by best friends and named after their beloved niece and goddaughter, Kenza Book of Art became more than just a business, it became a creative legacy. As the company grew, our sisters joined us, turning our vision into a true family affair. Every event we design is filled with intention, beauty, and the same warmth we’ve always brought to the table.
Though we’re based in different states, our business is what brings us together. Each wedding or event is not only an opportunity to create something beautiful but it’s a chance for us to reunite, collaborate, and pour our hearts into what we love: giving our clients next-level design, unforgettable décor, and meaningful moments they’ll cherish forever.
I’m one of the founders of Kenza Book of Art, and I truly believe this journey found me. Though I studied criminal justice and psychology, I never imagined I’d end up in the magical world of events. Design, photography, and painting were always my happy place long before KBOA became a business, and now I get to bring those passions to life. I can visualize every detail before it unfolds, and there’s nothing quite like standing back at the end of a long day and watching that vision transform into pure magic. Driven by a deep love for styling, meaningful moments, and the joy we create for each couple, my goal is to share our passion with the world—one unforgettable celebration at a time.
Becoming a decorator and designer came as a surprise to me. The first event I ever did on my own was my daughter’s baby shower. I didn’t trust anyone with my vision. I’ve always been detail-oriented and need things to look exactly how I imagine them. I never miss the little touches that bring everything to life. I truly love the whole process of wedding planning and design. I genuinely enjoy celebrating love. I think it’s one of the most special things in life, and I feel grateful that I get to do this for a living. I’ve always loved color, details, and creating beautiful things, even in everyday life, but I didn’t realize it was a true passion I could build a business from. This doesn’t feel like work to me. Even when things get hard and require long hours, my love for what I do keeps me going. I have big dreams for our company, and I truly believe that with our dedication, hard work, passion, and learning from our mistakes, we’ll go far.
I believe in showing up, with heart, with intention, and with the kind of energy that keeps a dream alive. My journey started by helping out with a family business, where I learned the value of hard work, attention to detail, and the importance of making people feel valued. I was one of the first to believe in the vision that became the Kenza Book of Art. But over time, I realized that it wasn’t just about the logistics. It was about the people. I’ve always had a deep love for helping others, and as I grew, I discovered that there was something truly special about making someone’s big day run as smoothly as possible. When you can take the stress out of an event and create a seamless experience, it’s not just a job It’s a privilege.
For as long as I can remember, I was kboa’s little helper, the extra pair of hands at events, always there with the team, setting up and decorating with love. I loved being part of the process, but it wasn’t until my own event; my graduation party – that I truly understood the magic we create. That day, surrounded by everything we had set up, I felt it. The joy. The love. The deep sense of being celebrated. It was beautiful in ways I never expected. And in that moment, something clicked in my heart: I want everyone to feel this. That feeling of walking into a space that reflects you, your journey, your culture, your joy is something I now pour into every single event. We don’t just decorate events, we create moments that stay with you forever.
Here’s a little glimpse into the magic behind KBOA. Being a part of Kenzabookofart is like doing art and crafts with the ones you love, people who truly understand your vision and bring their own powerful creativity to the table. As a therapist, helping people has always been second nature to me. So when I had the chance to apply my problem-solving skills, communication, and love for teamwork to KBOA… it honestly felt like making dreams come true. It’s the little things that push me to go even harder-like witnessing love come to life right in front of my eyes, through my hands and the collective effort of this amazing team. Being part of KBOA is truly a dream come true for me. So just imagine the energy, the love, and the dedication we pour into this every day-not just to grow KBOA, but to make sure each and every one of you feels the magic too.
